Creator One

Creator terms

What you agree to when you sell on Creator One.

Draft for legal review. Some company details are still to be confirmed.

Who can sell

You must be 18 or older to sell on Creator One. If you’re younger, your parent or guardian must run the account with you and accept these terms for you. Services for young people, like matric-dance make-up or tutoring, are welcome, but nothing may target children inappropriately (see the content policy).

You are the seller

You sell your products to your fans. You are responsible for what you sell, for delivering it, for honest descriptions and prices, and for any tax you owe, including VAT if you are registered. Each receipt names you as the seller.

Fees

Plan prices and platform fees are on the pricing page. On Free, the platform fee is 5% of each sale. On Creator and Pro it is 0%. Payment partner fees are separate and shown on every order. Paid plans renew each month or year until you cancel, and run to the end of the period you paid for.

Payouts

We pay out to a South African bank account in your name after we have verified your identity and bank details (FICA). We may hold a reserve against refunds and chargebacks, and we show you every hold and when it is released.

Refunds and disputes

You set your refund policy, and it must meet the Consumer Protection Act. Refunds you approve are taken from your balance. If a fan disputes a payment with their bank, we ask you for evidence and pass it on.

Messaging your fans

You may send marketing only to fans who opted in, and you must honour every opt-out. Creator One enforces this for you: marketing to people who haven’t opted in is blocked. You are the responsible party for your fans’ personal information under POPIA, and we are your operator.

What you may sell

You may not sell anything on the content policy list. We check new products and act on reports, and we may hide a page while we review it.

Leaving

You can export your customers, orders and statements at any time and close your account. We keep financial records for as long as the law requires.
